Some of my Secondary Skills
I started sketching because of Dragon Ball Z—those characters got me hooked. Digging into anatomy and all those "How to Draw" books really opened up a new world for me. It turned into my go-to chill zone, especially with the crazy video production schedules. Then, the pandemic happened, and I thought, why not kick it up a notch? So, I got into animating my drawings, making shorts with Adobe Character Animator. It's been pretty cool seeing my drawings come to life.
How it all started!
Making My First Animated Short
Jumpstarted by a wild R-rated lunchtime idea with friends, I turned a shelved live-action project into my first animated short, channeling influences from “Taxi Driver” to “The Office,” with a main character inspired by my brother. Mastering Adobe Character Animator was a challenge, but Okaysamurai’s tutorials on YouTube were a lifeline, making features like webcam triggers and draggers essential tools in bringing my vision to life. Finishing this project wasn’t just about making an animation; it was fulfilling a childhood dream, and I couldn’t be prouder of the result.
